Ronin Soho: Making history

With over a million followers, Ronin Soho is a unique influencer and the first North American filmmaker to make a film in Korean and English. He has also worked as a Motivational Expert to a record number of Olympians and Paralympians. Trained by the top proteges of one of history's greatest ever filmmakers Satyajit Ray (mentor to Oscar-winners from Martin Scorcese to Danny Boyle to Christopher Nolan), Soho wanted to make an inspirational film unlike any other. Supermodel Rockstar is a film that brings something new and unprecedented both in the world of dance films as well as inspirational cinema. Like Satyajit Ray, Soho performs many of the crucial aspects of filmmaking himself -- and also depicts serious issues like brain surgery, alcoholism, ageism, racism and the pursuit of unrealized dreams with restraint and realism.

In addition to directing, Soho also plays the lead actor Sunny -- a rockstar who must make a comeback in the competitive arena of pop music and fashion -- against all odds and adversity. Like Mina Kunis is Black Swan, Soho trained for a year and remodelled his physique to go from a size 32 to a size 25. In addition, Soho mastered complex choreography from Street Jazz and Salsa to Breakdancing and Hiphop -- and he even moved to Gangnam - the heart of Seoul to fully identify with the spirit of K-pop now taking the world by storm.

Soho is also working on his second feature film on Dalma - the most popular warrior monk of Korea, Japan and China and wants to give a powerful voice to Asian themes and culture in world cinema. Moreover, Soho has his own unique fashion line and is determined to follow in the footsteps of such pioneers as Pharell Williams and Virgil Abloh.
